LinkedIn's workwide catchphrase is “Relationships Matter”. By helping people connect and get access to professional insights and opportunities LinkedIn has created a very successful company. Now, the world’s largest professional network. LinkedIn has proven so phenomenally successful that it can count on more than 100 million registered members in more than 200 countries.
After experiencing such “hyper growth”, LinkedIn outgrew its UK office in Central London. When the US based firm decided they needed a new state of the art space they called in Steelcase Solutions.

Steelcase Solutions worked with the LinkedIn team to create a new office in London that is multi-functional with open plan desks and seating, sliding whiteboards and flexible meeting rooms. There’s also a “fun room” for employees to relax with the latest computer technology.
Each of the meeting rooms is named after a planet with the central conference room called “Sun”. It’s the focal point of all the company’s events doubling up as both a canteen and theatre.
LinkedIn wanted their new space to be as hi-spec as possible as many clients and customers would be coming through. “We are thrilled with our new office,” said Nasreen Begum, LinkedIn project manager who oversaw the specification of the furniture and fittings.
Achieving a high SKA rating was also a key concern when designing the new office, “Every single piece of furniture is EPD* allowing the new office to achieve a very high SKA rating, which not only saves the company money and help their carbon footprint, but it also sends out the right message to both LinkedIn employees and customers about how seriously they take their responsibilities”, added Jon Wyss, account manager at Steelcase Solutions.
