To keep hold of the best people in a long-distance office relocation, attract new talent and impress visitors and clients.

the background: 

Red Hat, the premier global provider of Linux software, was undergoing a long-distance office relocation, and wanted a highly attractive, environmentally friendly and ergonomic office design to inspire employees and visitors.

Their new premises needed to set the European corporate standard for Red Hat’s facilities, reflecting its high technology brand identity – and even more importantly, to encourage staff to move with them and attract new talent.

Having designed and installed new offices in North America, the Czech Republic and Sweden over 10 years, Steelcase Solutions had the in-depth knowledge of the business and its brand to develop an exceptional UK site.

the solution: 

Steelcase Solutions worked closely with Red Hat to ensure the space we designed met their needs.

We created a light and inspiring call centre, with excellent acoustics and nearby break-out areas for relaxation and idea sharing. The office furniture for each area was carefully planned to fulfil requirements and inspire staff and visitors, with every area tailored towards the people who would be using it.

To ensure a seamless move that would minimise stress for employees, we also provided a project management service, disposing of redundant furniture in an environmentally friendly way and ensuring all IT and other resources were transferred smoothly.
