Challenges
A place to be proud of: Global company, Red Hat, the premier provider of Linux software required a UK HQ that would impress their many visitors and set the European Corporate standard for Red Hatís facilities, reflecting their high technology brand identity.

People: The relocation from the previous site was long-distance, Red Hat therefore needed to inspire their staff to move with them and also to attract new talent. A fantastic new working environment was therefore key.

Ergonomics, aesthetics and sustainability: A highly attractive working environment was required with the best furniture solutions available, providing users with superior ergonomics and comfort, whilst also being friendly towards the environment.

Steelcase have a 10 year relationship with Red hat, creating their new offices in North America, the Czech Republic and Sweden. Steelcase Solutions was therefore able to use this experience in creating the UK site.


Solutions
Working together: Steelcase Solutions worked closely with Red Hat to understand their requirements, resulting in a space tailored to their needs and ideals.

A spacious and inspiring call centre: A traditional over cramped, unattractive and noisy call centre would not create an efficient and effective environment. Steelcase Solutions created a light and inspiring space with excellent acoustics and close proximity to break-out areas for relaxation and idea sharing.

Multiple solutions: Individual furniture and designs for each area were developed: reception, conferencing, call centre, training, break out areas and cafÈ. Different spaces for staff and visitors on the site for training were also created.

Not just furniture and design: Steelcase Solutions took care of Red Hatís old facilities, providing removal services for their IT and other resources and taking care of redundant furniture.
