Birmingham Trends Seminar

Birmingham's architecture and design community came together in July to listen to leading trends forecaster ScarletOpus discuss 2012's key interior design fashions at Steelcase Solution's Design Trends 2012 Seminar.

Attendees were treated to a glimpse into the future of architecture and design through ScarletOpus' presentation, based on their research into a huge range of international factors including environmental issues, world events, popular culture and emerging talents in architecture, art and technology.  The trends indentified by ScarletOpus included futuristic living buildings with furniture that acted like living organisms as well as some perhaps more achievable trends such as 'back to your roots', 'deep sea', and 'nature in the raw' styles.

After the presentation the guests were able to ask questions to the ScarletOpus team, and later mingle with the Steelcase experts who were also able to advise guests on how they could help to bring Birmingham's offices into the future.
